As voters turned out to decide the fate of the half percent income tax levy for 5 years for the Delphos City Schools.

And according to unofficial numbers from the board of elections the voters rejected the income tax for the school district by a margin of nearly seven hundred votes.

1-thousand - 613 against the tax, 937 for the tax.

District officials had said they would look at re-instituting some programs and positions which were eliminated when they had to make 721 thousand dollars in cuts.

The school district made three other attempts to pass a one percent earned income tax levy,,, all of which were rejected by voters.
