St. Rita's honored retiring Dr. Mark Winerman for his 36 years of service.
St. Rita's Health Partners CEO, Bob Baxter presented him with an award in front of his colleagues. His career as a pediatrician included emergency room and urgent care shifts, as well as time spent helping Lima City School Health Clinics. He was the chair of credentials at St. Rita's Medical Center for 20 years and he served as the director of Mercy St. Rita's Health Partners Center for Continuing Medical Education.
Some of his past patients talked about the positive influence that Dr. Winerman had on their lives and their choice of helping others. Throughout his career, Winerman treated a total of nearly 100,000 patients in and around the Lima area.
