A Mercer County man could be facing the death penalty for killing his girlfriend's 4 year-old son.
39 year-old Cory Eischen was in court Wednesday for his initial appearance on the new charges. Â He pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder, murder, involuntary manslaughter, felonious assault, endangering a child and domestic violence. Â
The Mercer County Sheriff's office drove out to Eischen's home after they got a call about an unresponsive child found in the house on September 25th.  4 year-old Jaxxen Baker was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Mercer County prosecutors are looking at the death penalty for Eischen. Â Eischen will reappear in court on November 28th.
