The Elida Future Farmers of America sponsored a blood drive in order to address the critical need for blood during the summer months.
Blood Donor Day was held at the Elida High School Main Gym. Those who donated blood received a ticket to a Cedar Fair theme park of their choice, while supplies lasted.
"Well since there is a blood shortage, we decided to hold another blood drive and our community is really stepping up to help us with that," said Cheyanne Pack, President of the Elida FFA. "Since our blood drive is from 12 to 6, we wanted to make sure that we could get the most amount of people that we could out here today."
