The Hancock County Performing Arts Center is one step closer to completion. Findlay's Central Middle School has been demolished, leaving the remaining portion to act as the center piece for the new Hancock County Performing Arts Center. The abandoned building will be converted into a community art center worth more than $10 million.
Findlay City Schools will sell the building to the Port Authority who will in turn sell it to the Hancock County Performing Arts Center. The school will receive use and performances out of the center for students for the next 40 years. Superintendent Wittwer is proud to be able to keep the building, which was built with tax payers money, in the community for use by the very people who built it.
