Additionally, the council unanimously passed legislation for Mayor Sharetta Smith to enter into a contract with Ben's Construction Inc. for the mayor's $1.5 million Better Together Plan of demolishing blighted neighborhood properties.

Additionally, the council unanimously passed legislation for Mayor Sharetta Smith to enter into a contract with Ben's Construction Inc. for the mayor's $1.5 million Better Together Plan of demolishing blighted neighborhood properties. Finally, Major Ron Holman with LPD updated the council that the department deployed their 2 all-traffic solution trailers over 30 times in 2024 for speed enforcement, event notification, traffic and construction warnings, and parking instructions. Both trailers worked a combined total of 427 days and tracked over 1.6 million vehicles.
