Grube Murder Case: Sanders Roark First Appearance in Court
Nineteen year old Trevin Sanders Roark making his first appearance in Mercer County Common Pleas Court. Police believe he was one of the shooters in the murder of Robert and Colleen Grube in November of 2011. Today in court Sanders Roark had his initial appearance where he was told all 27 counts against him including multiple counts of aggravated murder, murder, involuntary manslaughter, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, burglary and theft. On June 7 Sanders Roark was moved from juvenile court to common pleas court to face the new charges.

Sanders Roark was appointed two defense attorneys, Jose Lopez and Jay Lopez. Prosecutors requested his bond to be maintained at $5 million and the judge granted that request. The other suspect in custody is 22-year-old Bryant Rhoades who will have his initial appearance Tuesday in Mercer County Common Pleas Court and is facing similar charges.

While in juvenile court, Sanders Roark told detectives between Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 2011, he, Rhoades, and an unidentified male and female went to the Grube home to get pills after smoking meth. They broke into the home tieing up the father and daughter and then shot them.

Sanders Roark will enter his plea to the 27 charges set for July 2 at 3 p.m. in Mercer County.
