Highway Patrol Increases Enforcement For Super Bowl Sunday

If you're going to a Super Bowl party this weekend the Highway Patrol reminds everyone not to drink and drive. The Ohio State Highway Patrol has extra officers on the road until Monday morning to catch drivers under the influence. If you're drinking at a Super Bowl party make sure you have a designated driver or find another way home, and don't get behind the wheel.

The Highway Patrol says party hosts and friends can also help keep the roads safe. "If you're planning a party try and plan in advance to have your guests make it home safely," said Lieutenant David Brown, "Always designate a driver before the drinking actually starts that way people have a clear way they're going to get home and it's not an after thought that you're trying to figure out when it's already too late." Lieutenant Brown also reminds drivers buzzed driving is impaired driving.
