The Ohio Highway Patrol is urging residents to practice caution when it comes to driving in harsh conditions that the recent snowstorm has brought.
Lt. Alec Coil, Post commander of the Ohio Highway Patrol Lima Post, says that leaving early can be the difference in reaching your destination not only on time, but safely.
"Think about increasing the time that you would do your travels," stated Lt. Coil. "If it is a half an hour trip, add some time to that, because you may have to go a lot slower or you may run into an area where you have a crash or something... allowing more time for your travel is going to get you there on time and safe."
Coil also urges drivers to give space to snowplows that they might find on roadways.
