WAPAKONETA, OH (WLIO) - Hundreds of people gathered in Wapakoneta for an annual Christmas dinner.
The 29th Miracle Meal Christmas Dinner was served Monday night inside the Auglaize County Junior Fair Building, with around 350 people coming together for a meal. A Christmas present was also given to every child from birth to 18 years old along with a local pastor delivering the message of Christmas. There was also plenty of Christmas caroling and even raffle drawings throughout the evening. The meal is free for everyone and gives all a chance to enjoy a moment this Christmas season without the financial stress.

"A lot of the volunteers, they like doing something to help other people. They want some way to celebrate their Christmas. We have some families that have said, 'This is their only Christmas,' and so that's what helps it to build every year," says Rollie Kent, President of the Miracle Meal.
Kent said the Miracle Meal started off small in the old Wigwam Auditorium but grew in size throughout the years.
