LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The largest and oldest single-day auto parts swap meet in Ohio returned to the Allen County Fairgrounds on Sunday.

The 39th annual Lima Swap Meet had hundreds of vendors selling anything you could need for your car. There were parts for anything from 50s Chevys to racing vehicles, auto-themed decorations, and plenty of collectible items. Enthusiasts can find many of these online, but many people prefer to be able to see and feel things before they buy them and talk to friendly and knowledgeable sellers.

"It's really the same vendors that have been setting up for decades. We've had over 24 new vendors that have never set up before that have found us with our marketing. But the same vendors come back year after year after year because they enjoy the show, they enjoy the attendees that come in. They're really pleasant, they remember people, they're like 'Oh, I remember that guy's got DeWalt drills,' or 'That guy's got Milwaukee,' or 'That guy's got Snap-on tools.' And they want to come back and look for them again because they knew they had a good deal," said Jacob Elrod, the owner of Ultimate Racing Promotions.

The Lima Swap Meet is always held on the last Sunday in January, and organizers say that next year's 40th anniversary will be even bigger.
