LIMA, OH (WLIO) - We are less than a week away and candidates are making one final push to get their campaign messages across. One battle being for the seat of the U.S. Senate.
Republican candidate JD Vance making a stop in Lima today in order to connect with voters before they officially cast their ballots. Vance says one of his campaign focuses is dealing with the nation's inflation crisis.
"I think the big thing is we have to open up Ohio and America's energy markets to bring down the cost of everything," stated JD Vance, (R) candidate for U.S. Senate. "Food, gas, it's all way too expensive and again, it's all self-inflicted. This did not have to be like this. If we made better decisions in Washington D.C., I think we have a lot more prosperity, the dollar will go a lot farther, and that's what we all want."
Vance faces Democratic candidate Tim Ryan for the open U.S. Senate seat this upcoming Tuesday.
