Juvenile accused of of Bath Middle school threat, enters plea of denial

The minor accused of threatening Bath Local Schools appeared for his first detention hearing Thursday.

The 13-year-old threatened his former school, on Wednesday, with a social media threat to "shoot up" Bath Middle School. He entered a plea of denial to the complaint of juvenile delinquency by inducing panic, a second-degree felony. Detective Nate Music said the sheriff's department was made aware of the threat at 5:20 am Wednesday and were able to track where the threat came from. During an interview with the suspect, Music said he admitted to the post on Instagram.

A pre-trial is set for June 4th.
