LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Lima Community Improvement Corporation has found its first executive director.
The Lima Community Improvement Corporation board members announced that Marcie Barlow will be running the organization that was started just a couple of years ago to help Lima maximize its development potential.
Barlow has worked with similar organizations in Pennsylvania and southern Ohio, and she is ready to use her expertise in addressing the housing needs and economic development growth of Lima.
"I am excited to help Lima residents with housing challenges that they have right now. Whether it is rehabilitation of existing housing so we can make things more attractive for families or creating new opportunities for them and building new. We have some vacant property that we want to look at projects to move forward so we can have affordable housing for our residents," says Marcie Barlow, executive director of the Lima Community Improvement Corporation.
Barlow says she is excited to work with Lima's administration, city council, and other organizations to help move the city forward and address its housing problem.
