The Lima Elks Lodge #54 made a sizable donation to the Lima Memorial Children's Developmental Center.
The Lodge donated $10,000 to the program and toured the C.D.C. space to see where their money would be going. Equal to about 10% of their annual budget, the funds, which come from the Ohio Elks Cerebral Palsy Fund, will go a long way to help the program add mobility pieces and adaptive equipment to the facilities.
"It's huge, it's a big part of our budget each year," says C.D.C. Executive Director Christine Wagner. "We don't anticipate but we always are hopeful for a donation from the Elks and this year was a particularly wonderful surprise."
Mercy Health St. Rita's also received a $10,000 donation from the Elks.
