LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Lima Kiwanis Club is holding a 5K run/walk to support the youth activities that their club provides to area students.

The run also includes a virtual pet contest and a mile fun run. The club sponsors K-Kids for elementary schools, Key Club for high schoolers, Circle-K at the college level, and the Aktion Club for individuals with developmental disabilities. All working to build future leaders.

"Well, it's a great opportunity to support the kids at Lima City School system and Heir Force Community School because the proceeds from this event go towards scholarships for anyone that's participated in our student clubs over the years and shirts for all the members of both schools," expressed Bob Day, Lima Kiwanis Club.
The Howl'oween Trick or Trot is Sunday, October 30th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Faurot Park and Woodlawn Cemetery. The deadline to register and get a shirt is October 1st. There are medals for the first 250 people to sign up.
