Lima man wanted in Florida for homicide was captured by LPD

A Lima man wanted for a homicide in Florida was captured in the city on Saturday.

The Lima Police Department says they got word that 30-year-old Darrell White was in the city and had active felony warrants for Premeditated Homicide and Aggravated Assault from the State of Florida. Officer located White in the area of Wayne and Elizabeth Streets. He fled briefly from the officers on foot before his capture. White was taken to the hospital for injuries that he got during the foot chase, he was booked in the Allen County Jail this Sunday afternoon. White did have a gun on him when he was captured. He has been charged with Suspicion of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Obstructing Official Business and Resisting Arrest, along with the Fugitive from Justice Warrant.

On Saturday, October 19, 2019, officers from the Lima Police Department received information regarding the location of a wanted Fugitive from Justice, Darrell White, 30 years old of Lima. Darrell had active felony warrants through Florida for Premeditated Homicide and Aggravated Assault.

Officers from the Lima Police Dept located Darrell in the area of Wayne and Elizabeth. Darrell fled from officers and after a brief foot pursuit, Darrell was taken into custody without further incident. Darrell was found to be in possession of a firearm at the time of the incident. Darrell was later transported to a local hospital for treatment for an injury sustained during the foot pursuit. Darrell was charged with Suspicion of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Obstructing Official Business, Resisting Arrest along with the Fugitive from Justice Warrant.
