Lima area residents got the chance to hear from the candidate himself and while Donald Trump is still the front-runner, many people are pulling for John Kasich.
“I think his chances are pretty good. He’s run a good state here in Ohio and so his record speaks for itself” said Jacqui Bradley." She was asked what she thought of Kasich’s message today. “I thought it was good, I thought he was on task. He doesn’t change his opinions one way or another from one debate or from one town hall to the next, so it’s important, consistency is going to be important for the United States going forward,” added Bradley.
“I think he is the man. I think he is the one that should be there. He is right on top of it. He’s got the experience and really I hope he makes it,” said Chuck Bowers.
“Well I’m not sure about his chances to ultimately get the nomination. I think he did change my opinion a little bit after hearing him speak. I still am a little bit undecided so I think touched a lot of the issues that I was hearing about and I guess we’ll see what happens”, said Julie Etzkorn.
“But I thought he did a good job today, explaining those things, questions he had been asked and just the issues in general. I think he did a good job,” said Ralph Davis.
“I think he done a very good job, and I’m like him (Ralph Davis) I’m concerned whether can come through or not,” said Edna Davis.
Kasich has an uphill battle for the republican nomination even if he takes Ohio next Tuesday. So until then the Ohio Governor continues to campaign with the hopes of gaining his party’s top spot.
