LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Lima Symphony Orchestra's Organ by Candlelight returned on Saturday.

The Lima Symphony Orchestra's Organ by Candlelight returns for an intimate concert, enhanced by candles and a smaller orchestra, offering a unique atmosphere.
The annual concert gives the audience a more intimate setting compared to their regular performances with the ambience provided by the candles and the smaller orchestra. Guest organist Jared Post provided his artistry of the pipe organs in the Trinity United Methodist Church. Taking the audience back to simpler times.
"It's a way to just share a different side of the orchestra. It's more intimate, a smaller chamber orchestra compared to the 50 or 80 people we might have on stage at the Civic Center. We have a string orchestra plus a harp and an organ. We like to bring people back to the old days before all of this technology. Where you could just sit and listen to music in the candlelight with no distractions and just listen to music from that time period. So we've got Mozart, Haydn, and Bach, a lot of these greats that you know. The ambience is great, the acoustics are great; it's just a really wonderful experience," said Andrew Crust, music director & conductor with the Lima Symphony Orchestra.
The orchestra will be on the move tomorrow as they will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster at 4 pm.
