Students at Lima West Middle School got a chance to host a special type of career fair Friday morning.
The fair took on a wax museum theme, where students pretended to be wax people of their chosen career. Their job was to stand still until someone approached their booth and pushed a button. The student would then come alive and act out his or her profession by giving a report and using poster board to display what their job entails. Careers of all types were presented at this living wax museum, as each student patiently waited for someone to press the button to bring their passion to life.
"We pick a job that we want and then we put it on our poster board and then we say wages and job description, and things like that," explained Emma Hipsher, Lima West Middle School 8th grader. "It looks really, really good, I mean everybody's looks good."
Parents, community members, and other students were able to go through the living wax museum. It was presented by the career connections class at lima west.
