The new Hollywood Casino in Toledo opened to the public on Tuesday and at least one local charter bus company is loading up and heading north.
The interesting twist to Buckeye Charters one hour drive up Interstate 75 is they are doing it on their own and not in conjunction with the casino.
Buckeye Charter is planning on taking a bus to the casino every Tuesday in June leaving the Eastgate parking lot at 7:30 am with a stop at the Findlay Wal-Mart at 8, spending 5 hours at the casino, then doing the same on Friday nights in June for overnight fun in Toledo at the casino.
Buckeye Charter owner Frank Harnishfeger says the casino will welcome the guests from the Lima area but they don't seem to be bus friendly.
Harnishfeger says they have the same issue at the M-G-M casino in Detroit, no bus parking, but they go anyway.
The ticket for a ride on Buckeye Charter to the Toledo casino is 20 dollars.
