Lonnie Rader Sentenced

A man with a long criminal history and convicted of assaulting his ex-wife and another man was sentenced this morning.

Lonnie Rader was sentenced to 15 years in prison for stabbing and robbing Tiffini Fisher and Chad Esmond. Rader was facing four felonies and up to 38 years in prison. He agreed to a plea deal, and one of the charges was dropped. He pleaded guilty to two charges of felonious assault. He was sentenced to 7 years on each count, which will run concurrently. He also pleaded guilty to the more serious crime of aggravated robbery. He will serve 8 years on that, which will run consecutively to the other charges.

Common Pleas Court Judge David Chaney said Rader's victims suffered psychological, physical and economic harm in the attacks.
