LIMA, OH (WLIO) - An Allen County man made his first appearance before a judge this morning on a charge of murder.
D'juan McLaurin was arrested this past Sunday(12/31/23) on a charge of murder involving a firearm. The Allen County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to 2226 North Glenwood Avenue in American Township where a fight had broke out. Sheriffs found the deceased body of Sandos Boddie Jr. inside the residence and McLaurin was taken into custody. A bond was requested for McLaurin today(1/4/24) at 1 million dollars, but McLaurin objected to the bond and pleaded for his bond to be lowered.
"Both of the firearms are mine. They belong to me. They're in my name. I'm not a felon and he was at my house. The crime happened at 2226 North Glenwood Avenue Lima Ohio 45805, inside my garage. So everything, and I have private property and no trespassing at my house," stated D'juan McLaurin.
The judge set McLaurin's bond at $500,000 and he has a preliminary hearing set for next Wednesday, January 10th.
