The case against a 16-year-old Lima boy accused in the shooting death of Da'Veon Petaway will be heard by a jury in November.
16-year-old Albert McDowell the third signed a speedy time waiver,, moving the start of his trial to November 7th. McDowell is facing a murder charge and a felonious assault count. Both come with a firearm specification, which would add 3 years to his sentence if convicted.
McDowell is accused of killing Petaway in front of Meat City on March 7th. McDowell fled Lima and was captured a month later around Piqua.
