CELINA, Ohio (WLIO) - Senior high school students at Tri Star Career Compact brought their grandparents and elder relatives in to show what they do in their career tech programs.

For Friday's Senior Showcase, Tri Star students invited their family members into the classroom to demonstrate the skills they have learned. Afterwards, everyone came together for a large group tour of the entire building to see all the in-house programs. Some of the grandparents, aunts, and uncles had never been to Tri Star, and today gave them an opportunity to see what their grandchild’s, niece’s, or nephew’s passion in life is.
“We have students that go on to do great things, and we want as many people to know about it as possible. And of course, we know that grandparents, aunts and uncles, they want to know what their students are doing, and so, I know some of them, as they entered the building, said 'I don't even, you know, I’ve not been here before,” says Julie Schosker, Recruitment Placement Coordinator, Tri Star Career Compact.
This is Tri Star's first year holding the Senior Showcase.
