It's a chance to bring residents together to provide them with services they may not know they are eligible for.
Their Club 129 is hosting a combination health fair block party this Saturday. It's a chance to bring residents together to provide them with services they may not know they are eligible for. The West Ohio Food Bank will be there with a food distribution, and there will also be a bike helmet distribution for those needing one.
The block party is on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the new CLNA Reading Park off North Street.
"So, the purpose is to provide medical screenings, provide community resources in an atmosphere that is actually fun and inviting instead of clinical and intimidating. We'll have vital screenings, cancer preventative screenings, social services will be there," explained Carla Thompson, resource navigator for Mercy Health-St. Rita's.

Thompson says there will be plenty of fun as well. The block party is on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the new CLNA Reading Park off North Street, across from St. Rita's. They will have parking available at the hospital.
