More than a dozen properties are signed up for the City of Lima's Brownfield Program

As of now, 15 parcels have been received, with 10 of them getting funding for the process.

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The City of Lima's Brownfield Program is entering phase one as more than a dozen properties are signed up.

Three of those 10 are city-owned, including parts of Lincoln Park surrounding the train exhibit and the land where the old armory sat near Schoonover Park.

Environmental Protection Agency personnel have started to access the parcels submitted for the program. As of now, 15 parcels have been received, with 10 of them getting funding for the process. Three of those 10 are city-owned, including parts of Lincoln Park surrounding the train exhibit and the land where the old armory sat near Schoonover Park. Information about the property's previous and current use will be gathered, and a visual inspection will be done to identify any possible contamination or concerns.
