LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Also visiting Lima before election day coming up next week was democratic gubernatorial candidate Nan Whaley.
Whaley held a campaign event at Vibe Coffee House and Café in downtown Lima. She gave a speech about her stance on issues important to Ohioans, took questions from attendees, and spoke to the voters individually after speaking. Whaley wanted to let voters know more about her plan for addressing economic challenges faced in Ohio.
"We want to make sure that everyone has an opportunity for one good job. You know, putting money into apprenticeship readiness programs, making sure that Lima folks are building Lima, not people from out of state coming in and building our communities, but building the working class and middle class from the middle out in our communities. That will grow all of our cities, not just the Columbus metro, but everywhere," stated Nan Whaley, (D) gubernatorial candidate.
Nan Whaley is facing incumbent Mike DeWine in next week's election for governor.
