Lima may have a long history with trains, oil and tanks, but don't forget about the water.
A new reservoir is about to be filled and next spring and summer, so will a new 2.3 million dollar water tower under construction at the Central Point Business Park. That cost is well below the 3.5 million dollars originally estimated. The base of the tower was completed first, then the 84 foot column was completed, soon the tower will be topped off.
Lima Deputy Utilities Director, Mike Caprella, says this water tower is built so that if there is more growth in the area, the tower can be changed to adjust to that growth.
