ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - If you’re not exporting, you’re not competing with the rest of the world.
The event was designed to introduce northwest Ohio businesses and economic development groups to resources available to take that step into international markets.
That was the message at the “Connecting Northwest Ohio Business Globally” on Friday at Ohio Means Jobs Allen County. Exports can make companies more stable, make them grow faster, and diversify their revenue streams. Businesses need to know there is assistance available for them.
Paul Zito, Vice President International Development with Regional Growth Partnership, RGP, explains, “Know that there are plenty of resources on a federal, state, local, and other levels that can help them with any international business issue they may be facing.”
Zito says the majority of exports come from small to medium-sized businesses. Economic development experts say that’s why they focus their time there, as they are where the growth and potential is.
