Poll workers with the city of Lima precincts say that they have seen a steady stream of voters coming to the polls. This election is what they call an off-year election, or odd year where the ballot has local races and issues. The Allen County Board of Elections has prepared for a 70% turnout because of the special August election turnout but is anticipating less. There are just over 66,000 registered voters in Allen County and officials say some of the races look to be bringing them out.

"Not only do we have the state issues on the ballot this time which seems to be drawing people out but your local, your school boards, your township trustees, all your local people that handle everything right here for you. Township trustees make sure the roads are plowed. Make sure the roads are in good condition. Your city officials take care of your villages and cities, your school board members, which we have a tight race in Elida right now," stated Kathy Meyer, executive director at the Allen County Board of Elections.

Polls are open until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Your Hometown Stations will have the unofficial results as they come in Tuesday evening at https://www.hometownstations.com/news/elections/.
