GLANDORF, Ohio (WLIO) — A Putnam County Boy Scout found a tasty way to fund his Eagle Scout project.
Chase Maag, who is working toward earning his Eagle Scout rank, helped the Glandorf Park District make improvements to the playground at Deters Park. Maag added stone and a wood border to the playground. The project cost more than $4,000, and to help cover expenses, he sold 350 chicken BBQ meals. Maag said he is grateful for the community support.

“It's amazing. It honestly feels so amazing. I'm I couldn't ask for another beautiful day. Yeah, I've been in Boy Scouts since I was, since I was little, probably kindergarten, and never actually thought I would make it. So I'm an Eagle Scout. But every year we went by and let's see, obviously, this is my last portion of the project, and here comes the paperwork so,” said Maag.
Now that the project is complete, Maag still has a few more badges and paperwork to finish before officially earning the rank of Eagle Scout.
