ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The Allen County Board of Elections wants to remind people of the petition deadline for the May primary.
The board is also taking action on the relocation of several rural polling locations.
With it being an off-year election, voters will be deciding who will be representing them at the county and municipal level. So anyone interested in running for those seats must get their petitions signed and submitted by Wednesday, February 5th, to be on the ballot.
"It will depend on how many people file. If no two people from the same party are running for the same position, those people will automatically move on to the November election," explained Morgan Bode, Allen County Board of Elections.
