December 17, 2024, Press Release from the Delphos Police Department: On 12-8-2024 officers were sent to the 400 block of W. Clime St, for an abandoned 911 call.
On 12-8-2024 officers were sent to investigate an alarm activation at a business on Spencerville Rd.
On 12-8-2024 officers responded to a 911 hang up call in the 800 block of N. Clay St.
On 12-9-2024 officers were dispatched to the 500 block of S. Main St, after a female called to report she had an unwanted male guest at the residence.
On 12-9-2024 officers responded to the 100 block of E. 13th St, for a Domestic Disturbance. Officers arrived and found that the altercation was verbal only.
On 12-9-2024 officers met with a male in the 800 block of Skinner St, who reported that a female acquaintance took the keys to his vehicle.
On 12-9-2024 officers were sent to an establishment in the 700 block of W. Clime St, for an unwanted guest complaint.
On 12-10-2024 officers were dispatched to investigate a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of State and W. 5th streets. One driver was issued a citation for failure to keep an assured clear distance ahead.
On 12-10-2024 officers were advised of suspicious subjects going door to door in the Ricker St/Carolyn Dr, area. The males were located and advised to get a solicitor’s permit.
On 12-10-2024 officers were asked to provide a standby for a female who wished to retrieve items from a previous residence that she lived at in the 400 block of Maple St.
On 12-11-2024 a female called requesting a well being check on her daughter in the 600 block of S. Clay St. Officers arrived and found that the female wished to leave the residence. A standby was provided while the female gathered her property.
On 12-12-2024 officers were dispatched to the intersection of E. 5th St, and Fort Jennings Rd, to investigate a two-vehicle crash. One driver was issued a citation for failure to keep an assured clear distance ahead.
On 12-12-2024 officers were asked to assist with debris removal from US RT 30. The debris was located and removed.
On 12-13-2024 officers spoke with a female who reported a theft of her pension check.
On 12-13-2024 officers were dispatched to look for a vehicle possibly being operated by an intoxicated person. Officers located the vehicle and made contact with the driver. During the traffic stop officers found probable cause to arrest the driver, 36-year-old Delmar Alvarez Cruz, of Delphos, for operating the vehicle while intoxicated and operating without a driver’s license.
On 12-14-2024 officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Skinner St, for a Domestic Disturbance. Officers arrived and found a male and female who were highly intoxicated. It was determined that no physical violence had occurred. The female, however, was transported to the hospital for a medical evaluation due to her high level of intoxication.
