Rich Cordray stops in Lima ahead of Tuesday primary

Democratic candidate for governor Rich Cordray made a stop in Lima ahead of Tuesday's primary election.

Cordray paid a visit to the UA Local 776 for a Get Out the Vote rally. His speech mainly focused on the kitchen table issues like job creation, health care, and improving public education, topics that he says he hears concerns about everywhere he goes. He says that should he get elected, he plans on working towards addressing them in a way that best works for all of Ohio.

"For me and Betty [Sutton], we both have a strong track record of getting results for people and improving people's lives," says Cordray. "When I was state treasurer, we helped small businesses grow and create jobs throughout Ohio. We helped save tens of thousands of homes for people from foreclosure, so we can be effective by standing up for Ohio, making sure we're getting a fair shake, and make sure we're having government work not just for some of us but for all of us."

Cordray is running against Larry Ealy, Dennis Kucinich, Bill O'Neill, and Joe Schiavoni.
