LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Lima Rotary Club is on course to hit a milestone for its scholarship program in the first part of 2025.
Monday's recipients were taking courses in early childhood education, nursing, and welding.
The Rotary Foundation awarding another round of non-traditional scholarships. They give these scholarships out quarterly to adults who are making that step to better themselves by continuing their education to new career opportunities.
"We have given scholarships so far over the years up to $988,000. We hope by the first part of next year we reach the $1,000,000 mark, and we'll have a special ceremony and bring back some of the individuals in Rotary who were instrumental in bringing along this tradition to honor them as well," stated Richard Warren, Lima Rotary Club.
The Lima Rotary Club gives these scholarships out quarterly to adults who are making that step to better themselves by continuing their education to new career opportunities.
