LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Students at Lima's Unity Elementary School getting a visit from a couple of VIPs today.
Santa and Mrs. Claus made a stop during their busy season. The students were excited to get a chance to talk with the jolly old elf and his wife. Some youngsters shouted out their Christmas wishes while others took a seat on his lap. Santa passed out a "Unity Spartan Family" backpack to each child along with a candy cane from Mrs. Claus. Old Saint Nick also had some advice for the youngsters as they get ready for Christmas break.
"They need to be on their best behavior and they need to help mom and dad. They need to be good to their brothers and sisters and listen well to their parents," suggested Santa Claus.
Once back to their rooms, the children tore into their backpacks finding toys, flash cards, gloves, hats, blankets and much more. Lima City Schools' last day before Christmas break is December 20th.
