Spring lawn care tips

With spring now here, that means it's time to start taking care of that yard once again, and we spoke to experts who give us some spring lawn care tips.

General Manager at Menards, Justin Bellows says early May is the best time to start planting vegetables, and gardening since it's still somewhat cold.

But, if you already started planting, Bellows recommends covering them on colder days. He says it's the perfect time to apply fertilizer because it will last for six months. Bellows says they have already seen an increase in their gardening and plant sales.

"Our Garden Center has been extremely busy. Plants, trees, and shrubs are selling like crazy. People are definitely looking forward to the warm weather," says Bellows.

Bellows adds that they have workers ready to assist anyone who needs help picking out any yard or gardening supplies.
