St. Marys inviting the public for the unveiling of new monument dedicated to Ohio National Guard

On Veterans Day at 11 a.m., on the corner of Chestnut and Spring Streets, there will be a ceremony to dedicate the new monument. The Ohio National Guard left Saint Marys in 2020, and a resident came up with the idea to create a monument for the citizen soldiers who were there. City administrators liked the idea and they decided to build it in Memorial Park facing the old armory used by the guardsmen.

Again if you would like to see the new monument, the ceremony is this Friday at 11 a.m. in Memorial Park in Saint Marys.
