The Equestrian Therapy Program's annual Ride A Thon and Pumpkin Festival

The Equestrian Therapy Program is inviting the public out to have fun and to help them raise money to continue their mission of helping others.

This is the 25th year for the Ride A Thon which is the organization's biggest fundraiser. The public can take part in family activities, hay rides, and auctions. During the live auction, people can bid on Ohio State/Michigan tickets, a grill set, travel packages and more. Also during the event, the participants in the program will be raising money by riding for sponsorship and will give visitors a good idea just how the Equestrian Therapy Program is helping the people they serve.

“It’s very informative, you can see how many different disabilities that we ride. You can see just by the smiles on the riders faces how much it means to them. These horses are their heroes, we couldn’t do this without our volunteers and our horses. And these gentle giants do so much for our riders physically and mentally," said Michelle Sabol, Equestrian Therapy Program.

The Pumpkin Festival and Ride A Thon will run from 9 until 3 p.m., with the family activities will go on all day during the event. The silent auctions will run until noon, and the live auction will begin at 1 p.m. The Equestrian Therapy Program is located at 22532 Bowsher Road, Cridersville, Ohio.
