ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - A man charged with having sexual contact with a teenage girl who was drunk and passed out was sentenced to five years in prison.
31-year-old Cornelius Ware Jr. was found guilty of attempted rape and attempted sexual battery and gross sexual imposition charges during a trial last month. He was originally indicted on rape and sexual battery charges, along with gross sexual imposition.
In August of 2021, Lima detectives say that he had sex with the girl who had passed out after drinking at a party where Ware was at. Ware was also classified as a tier three sex offender.
