With Thanksgiving just around the corner, the West Ohio Food Bank wants to make sure everyone has a meal on the table for the holiday.
Preregistration for the next two food distribution days is underway. They'll be having one on Friday, November 10th and another on Monday, November 20th. You can only sign up for one. Food bank officials say the Thanksgiving holiday puts more meaning on having a family dinner, which brings everyone together.
"Especially at a time during the holidays where we're trying to give thanks, what a great opportunity to ensure that all of our neighbors, especially our hungry neighbors, have food to be able to share with their relatives, to share with their kids to create traditions," said Linda Hamilton, West Ohio Food Bank.
To receive food assistance on one of those days, you must register first. You can do so online, at eventbrite.com and search West Ohio Food Bank, or by calling 419-222- 6512 or just stop in at the Literacy Council at 563 West Spring Street.
