LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The West Ohio Food Bank wants to make sure those who need food during the holidays have the opportunity to get some.
There are two scheduled food distributions in December. The December 4th distribution is full but there are spaces available for the December 16th event. You can sign up by going to https://www.westohiofoodbank.org/. Click on the need food tab and follow the prompts. They will again be offering a heat-and-eat Christmas Eve dinner.
"This is for anyone. If you have no place to go on Christmas Eve or if you have no plans on Christmas Eve come by between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Also, we are offering the opportunity for shut-ins who know they're not going to be able to get out. Maybe the weather is going to be a little dicey on Christmas Eve morning. We're going to do deliveries. We're going to have staff and volunteers available to deliver those dinners on Christmas Eve morning," explained Jason Aldrich, communications and PR manager at West Ohio Food Bank.
To have your meals delivered you must call the West Ohio Food Bank before December 24th to make arrangements at (419) 222-7946. Again delivery is for shut-ins and those needing assistance.
