The Lima Rotary Club honoring three area high school students for their interpretation of the Rotary’s 4-way test.
Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to All Concerned? Will it Build GOODWILL and Better Friendships? Will it Be BENEFICIAL to All Concerned? This is what Rotarians base their service on and each year hold a speech contest for scholarships. Monday, the top three winners presented their essays. The first-place winner centered the interpretation around parents and how they need to take a step back and look around.
Lima High School Junior Madeline Emerick explains, “It’s really just a message to parents to relax. Take a breather. Let your children have fun. Let your children be children. Teach them the important things, not the important things that society deems are important, but things that are going to help them grow and evolve throughout life.”
The second-place winner was Kyla Fallis from Bath and third-place was Leah Shields also from Bath High School.
