Some shifting of responsibilities happening within the City of Lima.
Community Development Director Susan Crotty announcing that all zoning code issues and complaints will now be handled by the Department of Community Development. In the past, zoning was handled under the Department of Public Works.
"Well, we thought it would be a little more efficient. We already have property maintenance code inspectors who are out in the city, they're out inspecting properties on a regular basis and we thought it would be easier for them to handle the zoning code complaints as well," explained Susan Crotty.Â
