HARROD, Ohio — Crestview remained undefeated in league play Friday night with a nail-biting 34-33 road win over Allen East at Goodwin Field. In a game marked by big plays and momentum swings, Crestview (2-0, 1-0 NWC) struck first late in the first quarter. Senior running back Braxton Leeth broke free for a 15-yard touchdown run to give the Knights an early 7-0 lead. Allen East (1-2, 0-1 NWC) responded in the second quarter. Quarterback Miles McDorman powered his way into the end zone from short range to tie the game at 7 with about 10 minutes left in the half. But Crestview wasted no time regaining control. On the following possession, Leeth delivered again—this time slicing through the Mustangs' defense and racing untouched to the end zone for his second touchdown of the night. The back-and-forth battle continued into the second half, but the Knights held off a late rally by the Mustangs to secure the one-point win. Leeth led the way for Crestview with multiple scores, helping his team move to 1-0 in Northwest Conference play. Allen East, now 0-1 in league play, will look to bounce back next week.
