FORT JENNINGS (WLIO) — Fort Jennings outlasted Ottoville 57-49 in a Division VII sectional final, earning a spot in next week’s district round.
Calvin Menke set the tone early with a three-point play and finished with a game-high 24 points, repeatedly converting through contact. Ottoville answered behind Ashton Miller, who scored a team-high 20, and Nick Quartana’s putback kept it tight early. Joe Leis added a corner triple as the Big Green battled back.
But Fort Jennings stayed a step ahead, with Menke and Alder Pothast helping seal the win. The Musketeers will face Miller City at Van Wert next week.
