Kettering, Ohio (WLIO) — Fort Recovery punched its ticket to the regional round with a dominant straight-set victory over Houston in the Division VI district final at Trent Arena.
The Lady Indians controlled from the opening serve. Kayden Ranly set the tone early, dishing out a perfect assist to Bridget Homan for a powerful kill as Fort Recovery built a 13–8 lead in the first set. Ranly then made an impact on defense, rising up for a clean block before finishing the set with an ace to seal a 25–11 opener.
Houston briefly surged in the second set behind a service ace from Keaton Turner, but Fort Recovery quickly answered. Cameron Muhlenkamp hammered home a kill to stop any momentum, and the Indians pulled away again.
Fort Recovery completed the sweep with scores of 25–11, 25–12 and 25–14, claiming the district championship in convincing fashion.
