LIMA, OH — The Championship Flight semifinals teed off at Shawnee Country Club, and two standout performances now have us set for a marquee final.

We begin at hole three with Guillermo Garron, a rising senior at UNOH. From the rough, Garron recovers beautifully with a strong approach and taps in to go 2 up early. He was matched against fellow UNOH product Josh Hollar, a 2012 graduate and Harrod native. Hollar showed signs of a comeback, sinking a long putt from the fringe to pull within one on the front nine.

But Garron caught fire after that—he went 4 up at the turn and never looked back, winning the match 5 and 4 to punch his ticket back to the finals.

In the other semifinal, recent Wayne Trace graduate Kyle Sutton got off to a hot start. The incoming UNOH freshman birdied the opening hole and won the first three to go 3 up early.

But Bluffton’s Tyler Breidenbach had other plans. He responded with a pair of birdies on the front nine and nailed a fantastic approach shot on hole 10 to go 2 up.

By hole 16, Breidenbach had full control—and he sealed the win in style. A jaw-dropping stroke from the fairway set him up for an eagle putt—and he buried it.

That sets the stage for the final: Breidenbach vs. Garron—back at Shawnee Country Club.
