KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee fourth-year guard Ruby Whitehorn has pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors after an altercation last month that earned her a suspension from the team. Whitehorn's attorney, Gregory Isaacs, says the plea agreement will allow Whitehorn's record to be expunged after a year as long as she stays out of trouble. The 6-foot player from Detroit was arrested Aug. 8. She was accused of kicking in a woman's door. Isaacs has said eyewitness accounts contradicted that. On Friday, a judge dismissed felony charges. Whitehorn pleaded guilty to trespassing and vandalism. Isaacs says Whitehorn “intends to focus her attention on academics and athletics.”

UNDATED (AP) — The College Sports Commission sent out a correction, saying it had overstated the amount of name, image, likeness deals it has cleared by more than $40 million in a data set it had previously made public. The commission blamed a clerical reporting error in data provided by Deloitte, which helped create the platform called NIL Go. The most jarring of the errors: The total value of deals cleared was $35.42 million instead of the $79.8 million previously announced. The $79.8 million is the total amount of all deals in the system, including those that are still pending.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Texas A&M's Midnight Yell Practice, a tradition nearly 100 years old, draws thousands to Kyle Field the night before each football game. This event, part pep rally and part comedy show, is led by five elected yell leaders. It started in 1913 and evolved into its current form in 1931. On a recent Friday night, around 30,000 students gathered to enjoy music, jokes, and the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band. The event aims to fire up the crowd for the next day's game. Junior Levi Lasswell calls it the top college football tradition.
